THE WORD OF GOD
We believe that the 66 books of the Bible are the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original writings. The Bible is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct [John 17:17; Romans 15:4; II Timothy 3:16,17; II Peter 1:21].
THE TRUE GOD
We believe that God is an infinite and perfect Spirit in whom all things have their source, support and end. [Genesis 1:1,2; John 4:24; Romans 11:36; Acts 17:28; Deuteronomy 6:4] He has revealed Himself in three distinct persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each of whom is equal in every divine perfection [Matthew 28:19].
GOD THE FATHER
We believe that the Father is the originator of the work of creation and the work of redemption [Psalm 2:7-9; Isaiah 63:16; Ephesians 1:3; Matthew 6:9]. He has sent into the world both the Son and the Holy Spirit [John 3:16; 14:16].
GOD THE SON
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten son and is the exact representation of God. [John 1:14; 3:16; Colossians 1:15] He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and died to pay the penalty or sin [Luke 1:35; Hebrew 4:15; 7:25]. He arose from the dead and ascended to heaven where He intercedes for His people [Matthew 28:7]. One day He will return again to earth [Acts 1:9-11].
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit comes from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment [John 15:26; 16: 7-15; 14:26]. He regenerates, indwells, fills, empowers, sanctifies, helps, teaches, guides and sovereignly imparts His supernatural gifts to all who believe in Jesus Christ [Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 3:16; 12.31; Titus 3:5].
SALVATION
We believe that everyone is a sinner by nature and a violator of God’s will by choice and therefore deserving condemnation [Romans 3:11,12,23; 5:12]. Through penitent faith in Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit individuals are forgiven, justified by faith and become children of God [John 3:16-18; Isaiah 55:11; Ephesians 2:4,8-10; Titus 3:5-7; Hebrews 7:25].
THE CHURCH
We believe that all regenerate individuals are members of the universal church of which Christ is the head [Matthew 16:16-18; Ephesians 1:22]. The local church consists of baptized believers who assemble for worship, spiritual edification and the work of reconciling the world to Jesus Christ [Matthew 28:19, 20; Ephesians 5:19,20; Hebrews 10:25; II Corinthians 5:18,19]. The local church earnestly desires and practices the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the edification of the Body and ministry in the world [I Peter 4:10].
THE ORDINANCES
We believe that Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church which should be observed until He returns. They are baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is the immersing of a believer in water symbolizing repentance, spiritual cleansing and one’s identification with Jesus Christ in His death burial and resurrection [Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; 8:12; 38, 39; 18:8; 22:16]. The Lord’s Supper commemorates Jesus’ sacrificial death for our sins [Luke 22:7-23; I Corinthians 11:23-34].
CHRISTIAN CONDUCT
We believe that Christians live for the glory of God by growing in grace and by being transformed by the Holy Spirit [Romans 15:6; II Peter 3:18; II Corinthians 3:18; 5:17]. The ministry of the Holy Spirit and the guidance of Scripture result in a lifestyle distinct form the world [Hebrews 4:12; James 1:25]. Christians pursue pure character, righteous conduct and peace with one another [Ephesians 5:15; Matthew 25:23; I Peter 4:10; Romans 13:12-14; I John 1:9; II Timothy 2:22].
THE END
We believe that Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return again to earth and establish His kingdom and the new heavens and new earth [John 14:3,6; Acts 1:11]. He will judge all people, rewarding His children with eternal life and condemning everyone else to separation from God: the endless suffering of eternal death [II Corinthians 5:19; John 3:18; 11:25; II Peter 1:11; 3:4,10; Revelation 4:11 20:11-15; 21:1].
